Komen Race

This is just a friendly reminder to help support funding for breast cancer treatment, screening and education as Layla and I (along with Lindsey and Jonathan and Em and Gavin) walk in the Koman Race for the Cure in a couple of weeks. Even if everyone that is reading this would give just $5, that would be awesome!

We will be walking for my mom who was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer over 5 years ago and is still with us today! Please pray for healing for my mom as she is currently very weak and in the hospital at the moment. Thanks! Lucky Girl

Friday night we went to Darrell and Lindsey's for a bbq. Layla was enjoying her time being the only girl in between 2 cute boys:-)...

Come on, boys, hold my hands!

If Jonathan is going to hit my head, I'm going to hit Alden's!

This one probably turned out the best that I took...Jonathan is 5 weeks older than Layla and Alden is 9 weeks younger. Alden was born the day after Layla's due date, so really it's like they are only a day apart--they are very close to the same size!

Sunday morninng Joe was putting her dress on she was cooing and smiling like crazy. She already loves putting cute clothes on!! A girl after my own heart:-)

Grandma G. would rather hold me than eat her lunch:-)

Baby K's Shower

This weekend we had a baby shower for Jill. Only a few more weeks (or hopefully less!) until we get to meet their little girl. Layla is very excited:). We pray for a good delivery and a healthy baby girl for Jill and Brad!

Playing a shower game...

Time for gifts!

Kolter Rotman (Jill's nephew) and Layla relaxing at the shower...

Group pic...for once I don't look like such a shrimp!! Thanks Daysha and Shawna:-) Layla was sleeping during the pic, so Elv got on instead.

This wasn't at the shower, but I thought it was cute:-).

Patriotic Kiddos

I hadn't gotten a chance to post pics from Labor Day, so here they are. We wanted to get one of the kids together since they were all wearing red, white and blue for the occasion (holidays might be about the only times that Layla wears red:-) ).

It took a few shots to get one where all the kids were facing the camera! Layla was the most cooperative:-). Gavin (my nephew-1 yr) is on the left and my cousin Mandi's kids, Natalie (2 yrs) and Caleb (7 mo), are the other two.

My Two Kiddos

This morning the whole family took a journey out to West Olive to get some plants for the house. I wish I would have taken my camera. Elvis got so hot that he didn't want to walk, so there we were, me pushing Layla in the stroller and Joe pushing Elvis along with a tree and a couple of plants in a wheel barrel. We got some funny looks:-). Elv would probably love it if we had a double stroller:-). He definitely thinks he's a baby just like Layla! Here are a couple of pics from when we got home...

Layla is not big enough to sit in the Bumbo yet, but we thought we'd try it out anyway. It actually supports her head okay since the back is high enough.

She is finally big enough to wear the sleeper that I had originally bought as a hospital picture outfit. I remember after I washed it I thought that I had shrunk it because it seemed so tiny! Little did I know that she wouldn't fit into it until she was almost 3 months!

And here are just some other pics that I thought were cute:-). Her mittens fall off her hands, so lately she's been wearing socks instead--although she seems to always get those off too.
