Girls Night

Layla and I went to a ballet at the place where she takes dance class.  I thought it'd be good for her to see a performance so that she can get a feel for what her recital will be like and also thought it'd be a nice to have something for just the two of us to go to.  The ballet was The Sleeping Beauty and she loved it.  (I myself prefer something with a little more talking:D)  I'm still not sure if she'll take ballet again next year, but she does really seem to like it.  And she's excited for her recital and to get her costume:).
It was fun having some alone time with my big girl!

Singing Debut

Gibs sang for the first time in church today!! Unfortunately, Joe couldn't come because he had to stay home with a sick Greta and I was there and sitting in the front row, but couldn't see Gibson at all!  Joyce and my dad came and Joyce took this picture for me because she could at least see the top of his head:).  I told the kids when they got home to try to get in the front next time they sing so that I can see them (without being too pushy of course). :)  I took video of part of it and they watched it when they got home and Gibs said he wanted to sing up there again so that he could be on the video.  Poor kid:(.  Layla was one of the first ones to walk up there, so that's how she got in the back row, then when I didn't see Gibs coming with her (normally they don't leave each others sides), I looked and saw he had lost a shoe.  I went to help him get it back on (he said someone stepped on it) and then when he went up there the teachers showed him where to stand in the front row, but I could see him looking all over for Layla.  He found her and then joined her in the backrow.  Hopefully they sing again some time before next Christmas (although I doubt they will:( ) and hopefully next time I can see him!  They did great though. Layla sang nice and did all the motions.  She's come a long ways since the first time she sang at VBS when she had just turned 3 and was so shy she just stood still up front.

When they got home I told them to take a nice picture together, and in typical Gibson style, this is what I got...

I took a quick pic after church and this was the goofy look Gibs gave...always such a goof!

Stuck

Greta was in the bathroom this morning while Layla was going to the bathroom when I suddenly heard her crying and Layla telling me I needed to come help Greta.  I laughed when I saw her and of course grabbed my phone to take a picture:).  She was pretty well stuck in there! I had a hard time getting it off of her.  Gibs is done with this little potty now (thankfully), it is just still out in our bathroom for some reason (we need to bring it away to storage).

Sunday Best

Today to church the kids wore their outfits that were their "holiday" outfits.  I never got a good picture at Christmas, so took one this morning before church.  This was the best I got.  Gibs LOVES ties and bow ties, so I figure that I should take full advantage of that now, while he thinks they're awesome:).

Roofing and Windows and Doors, Oh, my!

The windows and doors went in today and shingles are scheduled for Monday!  These last two weeks have gone by reallly quickly.  Hard to believe all they've accomplished in just two weeks!

The door on the side of our house comes into the landing on our stairs.  We figured it'd be handy, whether you're downstairs or on the main floor, to be able to go out that door.  With kids being in and out of the house all the time, we wanted lots of exits for them:).

Left side view (obviously:D)...
With the framing crew being done today, that meant the Baumann trailer also left so we can now park in our garage:)...
My littlle monkeys...(well, two of them, the poor third one was stuck in the car)
Kitchen view looking towards front play room...

Yesterday they put or arches in...
Gibs and Daddy looking at our covered porch which we plan on screening in so we can eat out there bug-free:)...
I was going to take a picture of the back entry and without hesitation, Layla stopped to pose for the picture:).  This is looking out our side door and our garage is to the left, a half bath is behind Layla.

Girls

It's so sweet to watch these two girls play together.  It's nice that they have each other especially at times where the big kids play outside and they're stuck inside watching through the window...
I hope they have this much fun throughout the years having tea parties together:)...
Layla loves playing outside with the boys, but after awhile wants to come in to play with the "babies".  Greta and Harper love playing with their big couz/sis, Layla.
