Why Sleep??

Hi Mom!

Layla's been having a harder time sleeping recently because all she wants to do is sit or stand in her crib even if she's super sleepy! It's so handy having the video monitor so that I can now see what she's doing. Sometimes she's quiet in her bed but just sitting and playing.

Easter Sunday Fun

Layla had a good Easter day. She went to church this morning and then to Grandpa and Grandma G.'s for lunch. She even got to participate in an Easter egg hunt. Well, she didn't really participate, but she watched. Here she is with her Easter basket from them. She has silly bunny slippers on that were included in a group of shoes I got off of Ebay. They aren't real pratical, but I thought she should wear them on bunny day:-).

Layla wanted her toes done to match Mommy's. I never thought she would keep her feet still long enough to paint them, and she didn't, but somehow I managed to get paint to cover most of her nails (and a little skin).

She wanted to try out her new stroller for Disney today while watching the Masters with Daddy...

Elv wanted to try Layla's glasses on since Layla and Daddy got to wear them on a post the other day...

So then Layla thought she'd try Mommy's new glasses on...

On the Move...Sort Of

Layla has discovered how to get around short distances now...it's not exactly a crawl--more of a strange scootch type of thing. Here's a short clip of it (don't mind the laundry in the background:-o). She's going after the computer, which she loves--not sure it's really a good thing to try to get her to go after things that she's not supposed to touch! She also recently has picked up on "uh-oh" (probably thanks to cousin Gavin) and I forgot to mention on her 10 month post that she snorts now sometimes when she laughs--it's pretty funny:-).

Saturday

Layla tried on her sunglasses today in preparation for Florida...she did NOT like keeping them on her head!

Joe also liked trying them on:-)...

Daddy and Layla had bonding time this morning going out for breakfast with Joe's dad so that Mommy could get a pedicure. Here they are getting ready to leave...

Tonight Joe and I were able to go out with just the two of us for dinner! Joe's parents were nice enough to watch Layla. I think that's the first time we've had a date night (aside from our couple of weekends away) since early fall!! It was nice to have some time away:-).

Layla's Leis

I bought some leis today in preparation for her birthday party. She thought they were pretty fun to play with. The video isn't too exciting, but I barely take any, so I thought since I did for once, I might as well post it:-). Of course right before I started recording her she was playing with her leis like crazy but then stopped as soon as she saw the camera!

At Last

Layla finally has a tooth coming in--just barely--but it's coming!
