Disney Day 1

I keep procrastinating putting our Disney trip pics on here (such a pain now that I have to resize all my pics or Blogger won't let me upload them), but I know I'll be mad if I don't do it and they aren't in our blog book for 2013, so I thought maybe if started posting by day, it'd be more achievable for me:).

We had a great trip!  We went right after New Years, so we were able to see the Christmas decorations the first few days we were there.  I love Disney at Christmas time!!

We thought we had a lot of stuff to take when we went with 2 kids 2 years ago, another kid definitely adds more stuff!  But I feel like we really thought it through ahead of time and didn't overpack and packed "smart" as far as what we put in carry-ons and such, so it was manageable for Joe and I to handle our stuff by ourselves.  We are going again in October and I really feel like we'll try to pack about the same.  We also will most likely take the same strollers along that we took this past time--one side by side double and one single that can be thrown over your shoulder.  With small kids in Disney, strollers are a must!
The kids did great on the plane ride.  Greta cried for a few minutes until she fell asleep, but other than that was good.  Unfortunately "Presley" (the doll in her arms) got left on the plane:(.  With all our stuff, I guess we're lucky that was all we left behind:).  She must have slid under the seat or something and that's how we missed seeing her when we got off.  Thankfully, we were able to buy Presley the second at Target when we got home:).  And thankfully we had Piper along in the suitcase.  When I got Presley #2, I also picked up Pippa just in case any more get lost.  So she know has triplets:).
The big kids sat nice on the ride...
All of our stuff (we had two boosters in the bag on the right and Harper was using the stroller that we took for Greta b/c they checked their double)...
Always love seeing Mickey greeting us in our room:) (or actually this is probably Minnie)...
We stayed at Saratoga Springs for the first time this time so we shared a suite with Em and Mike (their room was one side and ours on the other, with the kitchen in the middle and we each had our own bath).  It was handy having a kitchen and washer/dryer in our room.

Waiting for the bus to take to Downtown Disney...(the kids get excited about the Disney busses:D)

This was I think our coldest day, then it got nice and warm which was nice since you never know what the weather will be like in January!

Lubbers Kids

I baby-sat Harper and Gavin last week a day.  The girls are so cute to see play with each other.

I couldn't get Greta to smile for the picture.  Every time I'd take one, I get her mouth open:).
So I put them in the same chair which they weren't too excited about.
I thought this one was so cute.  Harper kept blowing Greta kisses and Greta thought it was hilarious:).
This is so typical Greta.  I often find her in my laundry basket, just chillin'. :)
The three big kids had some worse than usual issues getting along, but all was good once they each made their own fort to play in.

4-2 Progress

We got the eletrical, plumbing and mechanical permits so they could insulate this week!  Drywall should start Monday!  Before they can mud the drywall, we need heat and we can't get gas and electric until the seasonal weight restrictions come off the roads (b/c we need to have them put in a new pole).  So hopefully that happens soon so it doesn't delay things too much!
After this picture was taken, my dad, Joe, Mike and Joe's dad all helped insulate the rest of the garage so that we can get it drywalled the same time as the rest of the house (otherwise they don't typically drywall the whole garage).

Height Predictor

Just thought I'd post what the height predictor says for Layla and Gibs to see how true it really is:).  Layla's could be a bit off because I never put on here her stats from her 4 year appointment and that was right before moving, so I have no idea where that sheet went:(.  She was somewhere around 43 inches though (I think) and 33 pounds.  Gibs yesterday (we went to the doctor for his voice--long story, but he's had a raspy voice for awhile and sometimes can hardly get words out so I called and the doctor diagnosed him with what my online--and always reliable:)--research had found...that he has a nodule on his vocal cord and needs to learn to not be so loud.  So now the doctor wants him to do speech therapy to learn how to properly use his voice) was 35.5 pounds and 39.25 inches.  He was just under 39 inches in Disney World in January which meant he was just a LITTLE to short to ride the 39" height requirement rides.  At least he'll be able to get on a few more for our next Disney trip:).

Gibs - predicted to be 6'2" (which if that's true, that means he'll be a few inches taller than dad)
Layla - predicted to be 5'6" (which if that's true, that means she'll be a few inches taller than me:D)

We'll see how accurate that ends up being:).  I definitely love having them little though--at this point in my life, I don't look forward to them being that big/old!

3-26 Progress

View of the master bath and our bedroom behind that from 3/26...
Our dining and living room now with wires.  Joe and my dad swept on Saturday, so it's now nice and clean:).  Joe also put our mailbox up on Saturday so we can receive mail there:).
View  of the kids' bath...they were pretty excited to see their tub:).

Christ Is RISEN!

We had a great day celebrating Easter today!  We celebrated with my family today (although half of Joe's family was there also--his dad, mom and Rachael came since they didn't have any other plans) and will celebrate with Joe's family next Sunday.

This was my first attempt at a pic of the kids right after church...
 Love her silly cheese face:)...
Proof that I did get a picture of them all smiling, but it unfortunately turned out blurry:(...
The best one (Greta was super tired and needing a nap)...
 Gavin during the hunt...
The baby girls (yep, pretty sure I'll always refer to them as "the babies" :D)...
 Layla with her basket...
 Gibs happily hunting...
Kassia and Tate were the official "egg hiders" :)...
Looking at what they got in their eggs (Greta was napping and missed the whole hunt)...

Decorating

It's been fun having appointments with the interior decorator at Baumann Builders and picking out all the stuff for our new house.  The kids think it's fun too to see the samples:).  Can't wait to see it all come together when our house is done!   Hopefully I still like it all then:).
