Painting Time

This past weekend we worked on painting Baby's room. By we, I mean Joe and his dad (although I did finish the edges that didn't get done very well the first time). It doesn't really need to be done this early, but we just wanted to get that out of the way. After they finished the first coat we thought it was REALLY bright, but now that we're used to it I really like it. Babies like bright colors anyway, right? :) We baby-sat my nephew Remi over the past week, so the dogs had fun watching the room get painted.

Elv has now adjusted to being in our room (instead of what is now Baby's room). It took him a bit to get used to and I think having Remi with him in our room helped. The first night he slept in our room he just kept standing by the door in our room and would look at us, look at his room (which was empty in preperation for painting), and then look back at us. He was so confused, but thankfully now over a week later is doing great in our room.

Now that the nursery is painted it gets me excited to start putting the rest of the stuff in it, but I realize I have 16 weeks to work on that, so we'll just keep adding things one thing at a time:)

Here it is with the circles we put on a couple of the walls.

Did they paint the dots on there too? I love it! It looks great! I heard it's good to paint a few months in advance anyway. That way the fumes get out before baby moves in. Plus it's just fun to get stuff ready! :)

No, I ordered the dots and we stuck them on. And we can move them if we want once furniture is in. We were going to paint then discovered that this was A LOT easier!!!
