Sweet Potatoe Pipe

This weekend when we were out for dinner Layla was getting fussy so I rumaged through my bag hoping to have a pipe along. No such luck. She stopped liking her pipe a few months ago so I figured she was just growing out of that stage and maybe that was a good thing. But I still liked to have it along while out in public in case she got loud. Well, last night for dinner she was super loud and of course I still hadn't put it in my bag. Luckily her buddy Ella had an extra one and she loved it! Today I gave her one at home that she hadn't used before (you know how you get so much baby stuff you forget about some things that are put away?) and she loved that one too! I don't want her to always need her pipe, but it will definitely be nice to have a plug for her when she's noisy!! :-)

This is random, but the other night I had a dream that one of the girls I work with was wearing this outfit of Layla's. In the dream I was arguing with her over whose outfit it was. Isn't it funny to picture this sweatsuit in an adult size? :-)

This was her reaction to sweet potatoes yesterday. I only gave her a few bites as I didn't want to force her to eat something she didn't like, but she still had so much around her mouth that everytime she'd lick her lips (which she loves doing to hear the smacking noise) she'd make this sour face again. Maybe today she'll like it better! She now loves rice cereal and oatmeal--especially the oatmeal with bananas. In time, hopefully she'll get used to veggies too!

That is hilarious that she likes the pipes now:) I am glad that Ella was able to help in that:) We had a great time with you guys! That is hilarious about your dream too - Jill

That looks a lot like David's green bean face! He's OK with pears and carrots but LOVES his cereal.

I love the pipe for myself too! It's so nice in public if he's loud, I can shut him up:) I think I will be the one who misses it most when it's time to give it up!

That's funny about the veges too. Tonight we gave Jonathan some Gerber food instead of my homemade stuff and he kept gagging on it and making funny faces. He doesn't like store bought food unless it's just a vege or just a fruit. This was some turkey dinner. They make some good faces! :)
