Another Birthday Party Weekend

Saturday we had Layla's buddy Alden's first birthday party! He was born the day after Layla's due date (on August 5) so it's weird for me to think that Layla wouldn't even been one yet if she had been born closer to her due date! Layla had a very fun time at his party and is glad that she could help celebrate his big day!

I couldn't find my camera for the before and during cupcake pics, so here is an "after":-).

It started raining a few minutes before we were going to eat, but it cleared up while we were eating so that we could still be outdoors for awhile.

It's getting more difficult to get pics of the kids together! Here are the party guests (minus their parents). From L-R, Jonathan (15 mo), Alden (12 mo), Layla (14 mo), Eli (8 1/2 mo), and Eli (Elijah--6 mo). I love how Elijah is the only one not crying in this pic--probably because he's the only one that isn't mobile!

Still not a real happy pic...at least the birthday boy isn't upset--he just didn't want to sit for the pic!

And now Alden is the only one that's not crying...

Layla enjoyed being the only girl and made sure to make the rounds getting to know all the boys. Here she is with Jonathan and Alden...
Talking to Elijah...
Here she is telling Eli that grass really isn't so bad (she used to hate it too)...
Layla wanted to be on Joe's team for bean bags...
But she doesn't exactly obey the rules of the game and gets a little too close to the hole...(at least she does get them all in:D)

The kids wanted the play bean bags SO badly but kind of got in the way...

This is out of order, but this is before the party started.

Alden and Jonathan...

Alden with his mommy and daddy...

Us with Alden...

Birthday boy with Lindsey, Darrell and Jonathan...

The Eli's had to get home, but we stayed for a bit so Layla and Jonathan went to sleep at Alden's. Here's Jonathan and Layla all ready for bed.

Happy Birthday Alden! I love their family pic--they all look so good! It is funny how the babies are "cramping the boys style" with cornhole...my oh my how times have changed!
