After we had Layla I had some people tell me they were surprised that we chose the name Layla--more so that they were surprised that Joe would choose the name Layla. I'm not entirely sure what they meant by that, so I'm curious as to what people think we might name our boy. Now that I've made it to almost 26 weeks, I thought it'd be fun to start giving clues to our name and to see what people guess we might name him. Please don't be shy about posting a comment:-). I'm not sure how often I'll post clues. It probably depends on how bored I get sitting around:-). Oh, and we're not set on a middle name yet, so for now the clues will only pertain to the first name.
Clue #1 - It has been used to name other nouns besides just people (meaning it's the name of a place and/or thing--like Meredith is not only a person's name, but a name of a college as well--Meredith College in Raleigh).

My guess for this is Myles...but i'm not sure that a (mile) is a noun? I guess it is a thing...
I have no idea...but I do love the name Myles :) Maybe Calvin ;)
Tanner, Mason, Burke (kind of like Berkeley College only spelt differently?-there is one in Alyson's class)
I am going to go with Oliver, because it is so wonderful :)
~Dayna
Bennett...don't know if is a noun but it seems like it should be...or Jackson.
I think you should tell us what letter it starts with.. that would be a big help. Lincoln would be cute with Layla. I'm all about them starting with the same letter. (obviously)
Lincoln Joseph.. Landon, Logan, Levi.. Joseph sounds good with all.
Layla is cute for your little girl. It's different though, not one you hear of everyday. I honestly always thought of the slutty song by Eric Clapton "Layla, you got me on my knees, Layla." Now I don't even think about the naughty song (hopefully your Layla won't have to hear it). So your little guy, is his name in a song? I think Lincoln Jude sounds adorable.
