They're a bit hard to see since I scanned them in (and crooked because I was in a hurry:) ).

Getting Ready For Baby

We had our ultrasound today and it went well! The tech can't really tell us anything, but at least we saw the baby and it looked good to us! I'll post pics later once I scan them in. It was just amazing to see it moving all around. She said it was a very active baby. Hopefully it calms down before it comes out:).

A year ago today was when we left for Mexico last year. We were talking about it today via email and someone suggested we go again in 10 years--10 years?!? We'll be close to upper thirties by then--yikes!!!!!!! That's way too far off to think about--I'd like to just focus on this year:)

Yesterday we went to my parent's for lunch which was nice since we hadn't seen them for awhile. My mom and dad left for Mexico today--I'm very jealous! It was my birthday lunch plus my mom (and Em) had some clothes for baby so that was fun for me. It was fun to put baby's stuff in the closet. Joe currently keeps his clothes in the baby's room (currently Elv's room:) ) so we've been working on moving Joe's stuff into my closet in our room. We're making progress! Here are some of baby's new stuff--so cute!! And no, there isn't pink in there for an particular reason--my mom saw it on sale and thought it was cute and figured if we can't use it, someone else is bound to have a girl and can have it!

Lazy Day

Today we babysat nephew Gavin all day. It was good because it kept us in the house and away from spending money running errands as we often do on Saturday mornings (and evenings). I got some laundry done and did some reading, but aside from that I didn't do a whole lot. I asked Joe if he was sure he wanted a kid and he said there was no going back (only kidding, Gavin!). We all had nap time this morning (even though we had plenty of sleep last night!). Joe, Elv, and Remi enjoyed napping in the sun while Gavin was comfy in his pack and play.

Gavin enjoyed some applesauce and Elv looked after Gavin while Gavin played.

Elv and Remi had fun times playing together. They look calm here, but trust me, they are not always calm! A good day was had by all:)

They Come and Go Too Quickly

Another weekend is over and done with...sadly:( They always fly by and before I know it I'm back at work. We kept pretty busy this weekend. Friday night was the youth group fundraiser for their trip to MT this summer. The entertainment was Calvin's improv group, River City Improv. They did an awesome job and were very funny! Then Saturday we ran errands and I had Lindsey's shower in the afternoon. The guys hung out while we were at the shower and then we just watched a movie at Brad and Jill's afterward. Sunday was the usual church, dinner at Joe's parents this week, and then back to church and Bible study after church. Here are some pics from the shower.
Yes, that's Lindsey behind the diaper. It was hard to get pics of Lindsey with all the children crowded around her!A baseball shirt for Darrell...I didn't notice any camo...although I might just not remember it, there were a lot of clothes!
Mobile...I think...
Lindsey's family knew us as the "Mexico Girls".

Preggers!!! (in order of due date) I was standing on my toes...why am I still short?!?

Here's To You, Lindsey Q.

As Lindsey pointed out, it's been a bit since our last blog post. I guess not too much has been going on. I'm still trying to get rid of my cough/bark that I got over 2 weeks ago. That has been frustrating (I think more so for Joe than for me!). Apparently my family has been sick as well--my dad is currently sick in MS on a mission trip, my mom is sick, my BIL was sick and so was my nephew. I've haven't seen them for over a month, so at least I know that I wasn't the one that spread it to them!!

I just uploaded some pics from recent events and realized that the majority are of Elvis:).

Here's one pic that wasn't of Elv of a table at the progressive dinner we had a church (anyone that went to our wedding might think the theme looks awfully familiar:) ).Ok, so the rest are of Elv...here he is enjoying his potty path that dad so nicely snow blows for him in our front yard.
Elv just chillin' on the couch...
Joe and Elv studying for before Council tonight...
I've still been having the crazy pregnancy dreams. Last night I dreamt we had the baby. In my dream I couldn't remember the birth, so I figured it must have happened while I was sleeping (if only it was really that easy!). So we drove the baby home (on my lap because we didn't have a car seat) and when we got home we put the baby on our bed and left to go to Meijer to get a car seat. When we got home the baby was about to roll off the bed, but I caught her! I'm pretty sure it was a girl, but then again part of the time I couldn't remember for sure and it was wearing green. The nice thing was that the baby never cried the whole time! Maybe that is forshadowing:). Unfortunately Elv wasn't even in the dream. Recently we were talking about what an adjustment he'll have to no longer being the baby and then he wasn't even in my dream! Poor baby! Our ultrasound is less than two weeks away, so that's exciting! We have still decided to not find out what we're having, although it will be tempting I'm sure!!

Winter Blahs

It is snowing...again. Most my blog entries this winter could probably start like that. I am definitely ready for spring. I came down with the flu this weekend, so I've been spending all my time indoors. I blame the weather for making me sick:). A year ago we were getting anxious for our Mexico trip, this year we're getting anxious for babies. That's fun too, just in a completely different way.
Also, an update on my Meijer wine stoppers label--Bethany posted it on her site now! I guess she didn't dislike it like I had said:).

Joe Too??

Hopefully only a few more days until I have my own computer at home! Joe's is on order and should be coming in soon. It's sad that at night we both want to be on the computer when we both spend our days on a computer too! How did people ever live without them??

I was taking a quiz the other day to find out the gender of our baby (a mix of all the wives' tales out there). One of the questions asked if the father of the baby was gaining weight in his stomach. I thought, how silly, why would the father show pregnancy symptoms? Then I realized that Joe's been complaining about being extremely tired lately and about eating more. And for the first time in his life he WANTS icecream (he normally doesn't really care for it). He said that he thought he was pregnant too. So maybe the quiz was right...too bad I don't remember if that meant you were having a boy or a girl:). I guess we are "one" and therefore rub off on one another--apparently sickness rubs off on each other too! Next thing we know people will be asking us if we're brother and sister--oh, wait, we've already been asked that. Yikes! We (Lord willing) have many years ahead of us of marriage and it's probably only going to get worse! I can't wait:)
