Layla had a play date with her new buddy, Ella (Koning), on Friday. Layla was very excited. Here she is chillin' with Elv before we left.
The girls had lots of fun together...
But then, like typical girls, their moods quickly changed...
Saturday we slept in, then headed to Crane's Orchard for lunch. Layla had a good time looking at all the people. Unfortunately, she no longer likes to just sit in her carrier while we eat. She likes to sit and look around. It'll be nice when she can sit in a high chair so she doesn't need to sit on our laps the whole time! O, well, as long as she's in a good mood I don't mind!
Saturday night we did some shopping and then spent some time at Barnes and Nobles. It was there that I changed my first diaper in a public restroom--well, not my diaper, hers, but you get what I mean:-). We then concluded the night with a late dinner at Applebee's. Layla was in a very happy mood the entire day since she was still able to get lots of naps in. She does pretty well napping while we're out if we're driving or she's being pushed in her stroller.
This morning we went to see Alden Lucas get baptized and then to the lunch afterwards. Layla was being noisy sitting in church, so we watched most of the service from the cry room, but at least she made it long enough to watch the baptism. We're not supposed to send her to nursery until the spring, so it'll be interesting to see how she does in church all winter! After the lunch we went to Joe's parents' house to celebrate Joe's sister's birthday. Needless to say, Layla has been a bit crabby today from all the excitement and has been sleeping pretty much since we got home!

Ella and Layla--two man eaters if I've ever seen them! What sweeties and how fun that they'll be the best of friends :D
They are both super cute! It's so fun to have friends with kids around the same age isn't it?!
At first i thought you said, "and there she is chillin' with Elv" and i thought you were talking about Ella. I was like WHOOOO how'd you pull that one off?! I'm hoping to let Macie and Ella meet Sunday, but i'm sure Bradley will NOT be into that! (he's a little anal haha ;))
They're coming to our house Saturday night, so she's going to have to meet Elv! And she has to meet her cousin Macie! It'll be good practice for Macie to be around a baby. Plus that way if she doesn't like babies, she can get it out of her system by biting Ella, not yours...only kidding of course:-).
LOL....Brad would shoot her :) No, she is great with kids...has always been around them. Babies she seems to like...very curious, wants to lick um and sniff them all over :) I don't have a problem with her licking our little one, but i'm not sure brad will want her to lick litte miss Ella.

Wow - I didn't know our baby and dogs would be such a hot topic:) Ella is excited to meet all of her doggy friends! Cute picture of the weekend - it is so fun to be able to go out and do things were her, isn't it? See you Friday! Jill
Darling pics. Layla and Ella will be the best of friends- no doubt! You and Betsy are too funny in your comments about the dogs. I'm betting too that they aren't going to go for licks, just yet anyway, from either pup.
